Bluetooth Control

Pair the app on two devices to use an iPhone or iPad as a Bluetooth remote for another iPad.

Download on the App Store

Use Remote Mouse & Keyboard on an iPhone or iPad as a Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad for another iPad. Both devices need the app. This is the app’s iPad connection flow; Mac and Windows use Wi-Fi/LAN with Remote Helper.

Setup

  1. On the device you will hold as the remote, open the device list and choose Add Device → iPad. This enables Bluetooth Discovery for iPad setup.
  2. On the iPad you want to control, open Remote Mouse & Keyboard, open the device-list menu, and select Control via Bluetooth.
  3. If shown, tap Turn On Bluetooth Discovery on the iPad. Select the name of the iPhone or iPad you are using as the remote.
  4. Accept any Bluetooth pairing prompts on both devices.
  5. Complete setup on the remote device and open the added iPad to use its controls.

Bluetooth Discovery is off by default. You can change it later in Settings → Bluetooth Discovery. Disabling it does not stop Wi-Fi/LAN control of Mac or Windows.

Trackpad

Use the input surface to move the iPad pointer, tap to click, and use supported scrolling and dragging gestures. Pointer behavior depends on the target iPad and the active app.

Keyboard

Tap the keyboard button to send input to the focused field on the iPad. The extra keys provide modifiers and navigation controls. Check the target iPad’s hardware keyboard layout if letters or punctuation do not match what you expect.

Keypads

Use the iPad keypads for media, volume, navigation, and supported system keys. Computer-only actions such as AppleScript, PowerShell, Mac AirPlay, and the desktop app launcher are not part of this Bluetooth connection.

Troubleshooting

  1. Allow Bluetooth access for the app on both devices and keep both apps open during setup.
  2. Confirm you chose Add Device → iPad on the remote and Control via Bluetooth on the iPad being controlled.
  3. If the device is missing, check Bluetooth Discovery in app settings, reopen the pairing view, and retry.
  4. If old pairing records prevent pairing, forget the other device in Bluetooth settings on both devices, then repeat setup.

Do not use the Bluetooth flow to connect a Mac or Windows PC. Use the computer connection guide instead.
