What the App Can and Cannot Do

The app can transmit the wake packet to a saved machine. It cannot make unsupported hardware listen while powered down, change BIOS settings, keep a disabled network adapter powered, or bypass router isolation. After Windows wakes, Remote Helper still needs to start before normal mouse and keyboard control reconnects.

Should I open a router port for Wake-on-LAN?

Not for normal use with this app. It is intended for the local network. Avoid exposing remote-control services or weakening router security.

Does Windows Firewall block the wake packet?
